Brazos County 4-H
The local Texas A&M AgriLife Extension youth program — an umbrella of community and project clubs, not a single club and not a public-school extracurricular. Youth enroll in projects across agriculture and livestock, family and community health, leadership and citizenship, natural resources, and STEM. Recent county materials advertised about 19 clubs and more than 40 project opportunities (livestock, shooting sports, food and fashion, robotics, photography, and others); check the current club list rather than assuming every project runs every year. Open to homeschool, public-school, and private-school youth. Clover Kids (K–2) have age-appropriate activities; regular membership is 3rd grade / about age 8 through 12th grade. Competitive events are for regular members, not Clover Kids.

- Each club sets its own meeting day. The county 4-H calendar, weekly emails, and Facebook are the live sources — dates change. Summer Friday day camps have been offered as one-day project intros (STEM/robotics, family and community health, agriculture and natural resources, 4-H 101); they are not year-round club membership, and 2026 camp dates have passed.

- County 4-H enrollment has been about $25 early in the 4-H year and $30 later for youth members, and about $10 for Clover Kids. Confirm current fees on 4-H Online. Some clubs and contests charge extra.

- Enroll in Texas 4-H Online (one family profile, then add members) and choose a Brazos County club. New families can call the Extension office at 979-823-0129. The annual Club Fair is a come-and-go open house at the office where clubs recruit — it is not a regular meeting. Weekly emails and Facebook carry schedule changes.
