Upbring

A statewide Texas child-welfare organization, formerly Lutheran Social Services of the South, working to break the cycle of child abuse through foster care, adoption, residential programs, education, and family support. Churches are invited to take service projects, events, and speaking. Its published church-partner regions are Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Lubbock, San Antonio, and the Valley; no Bryan-College Station program site is listed.

How to help

Volunteer time, church service projects, and gifts all go through the statewide Get Involved page. A local workday in Bryan-College Station is not published, so a church or family group should ask which program city actually needs hands before planning a trip.

If you need help

A family exploring foster care or adoption in Texas, or looking for Upbring's other child and family services, starts on the website. This is not a Bryan-College Station walk-in office.
