The Elizabeth House Maternity Home
A maternity home in Bryan-College Station for pregnant women who need a place to live. Housing is free through pregnancy and at least six months after the birth, and a resident may bring up to two children under six. The home offers emotional, physical, psychological, and spiritual support, including life skills, parenting, and work or school, and it also walks with women who choose adoption. The houses' addresses are kept confidential.
How to help
Volunteers drive residents, babysit, clean, tutor, help with events, or lead faith formation and Bible study, after an interest form, orientation, and background check. Gifts and material donations are the other published way in. The home takes no government funding.
If you need help
A woman who is 18 or older and pregnant can apply. She needs to be willing to share a house, follow house rules, work or stay in school, and learn living, parenting, and job skills. Other agencies may refer her. Intake is 979-318-2058 or [email protected].
