What if the world you escape into is the world controlling you? We live through screens. We disappear into music. We scroll, we watch, we connect, and somewhere along the way, it becomes easier to escape reality than to experience it. Reality Check explores the ways music and technology shape how we connect with ourselves and each other. Through music, movement, television, social media, and devised performance, the line between connection and isolation begins to blur. Is it an escape from reality, or a form of control? Created collaboratively through a devising process, Reality Check is the second student-led devised production within TAMU Theatre. Step away from the screen. Enter the experiment. Experience the world premiere of Reality Check! Content Warning for 18 & under.
