Take a break for lunch and explore the community’s past at the Exploring History Luncheon, presented in partnership with the Historic Preservation Committee. October's topic is “Millican Massacre of 1868” by Amy Earhart, associate professor of English and Africana studies faculty. The luncheon will be held Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 11:30 a.m. at the Larry J. Ringer Library. Attendance is free, with lunch available for $10 for residents and $12 for non-residents. Lunch reservations are required by Oct. 16.
