Dr. Hammond will discuss her research into the use of invariant natural killer T cells (iNKTs) to restore barrier immunity, immune response, and reinvigorate exhausted cells in patients suffering from chronic infection, inflammation, or certain types of cancer. The talk will include a report on the first patients with hypoxemic respiratory failure/ARDS to be treated with iNKTs in her Phase 2/3 clinical trial in Lviv, Ukraine.
